Child/Teen Counseling

The Women's Help Center Child/Teen
Program is for any child or teen who has
been affected by violence. Counseling is
supportive, preventative and educational
in nature.
Offers support and assists in developing coping
skills. Counseling can educate young people about
domestic violence, to help them view it as an abuse
of power, while providing framework to facilitate
healing and revictimization. Individual and group
sessions are available in:
Anger/Stress Management
Self Esteem
Assertiveness Skills
Drug and Alcohol Awareness
Separation/Divorce
Child Abuse
Sexual Assault Prevention
Dating Violence
Safety Planning
Sexual Assault
Court Advocacy
Court preparation and accompaniment services are provided for children, teens and/or their caregivers involved in the legal system.
